This page explains what Daily Brief for YNAB collects for account access, YNAB authorization, report delivery, and service operation.

Account emails

If you create an account, we collect your email address so you can sign in, reset your password, receive product messages, and receive Daily Brief for YNAB reports you configure.

Basic technical data

To protect the service from abuse and keep it running, the app may store basic technical information such as browser user agent, IP address, and timestamps.

YNAB authorization and budget data

Daily Brief for YNAB is intended to request read-only access. The app uses budget data to create daily email briefings, including recently posted transactions, account balance changes, category information, and spending averages selected in your settings.

How budget data is used

Budget data is used to generate the email briefings you configure, operate the service, troubleshoot delivery problems, and improve the product. Daily Brief for YNAB does not sell budget data or use it for advertising.

Storage and retention

The app may store account settings, recipient email addresses, delivery preferences, selected category groups, reported transaction identifiers, report delivery logs, and authorization tokens needed to keep the service working. Budget details are retained only as needed to provide the configured briefing, operate the service, troubleshoot issues, or meet legal and security obligations.

Sharing

We do not sell account emails or budget data. Service providers such as hosting, database, email, monitoring, and DNS providers may process data only as needed to run and protect the service.

Deletion and removal

If you want account access revoked or stored app data deleted, reply to any Daily Brief for YNAB product email.

Security

The service is designed to use YNAB authorization instead of asking for bank credentials. Access tokens and service data are stored with the hosting and database providers used to run the app.
